07020 – How to Use Dropbox to Upload Files

Here is how easy it is to upload your files such as PDF, zip files, reports to Dropbox and allow your users to download them.

Use this on your courses or on Thank You page after someone optin for example.

Upload File to Dropbox

  • Sign in your Dropbox account. If still none, you can create your Dropbox account here.

    Or, use your Gmail account for your Dropbox.

  • Click on Upload in the right side of the site.
    In the drop-down menu, select Files or Folder.
    + Files – upload multiple files at once to a destination folder into your Dropbox account
    + Folder – upload a folder and all of its containing files into your Dropbox account

  • Once upload is completed, locate your newly uploaded file in the Home screen or in Recent section.
    Hover the mouse pointer on your file then click Share button.

  • In the popup window, click Create a Link.

  • Then, click Copy Link.
    This will copy the file link to your system clipboard.

 


 

Add Link to Button or Download Block

 

How to Add Link to a Button block
    • Go to your KLEQ page you want to add your download link.
      Then, add a Button block to your page, or click the Button block on your page to open the block settings.
    • In the left sidebar panel, click Link.
    • In the Link drop-down menu, select Insert URL.
    • Paste your Dropbox file link to the URL field.
Important: To ensure that the file will download automatically upon button click, you simply need to modify the file URL by replacing the number at end of the URL from Zero (0) to One (1).

e.g.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/1k772pzg/This%20is%20Sheet.pdf?dl=1

  • Once everything is set, click SAVE.

 

How to Add Link to a Download block
  • Go to your KLEQ page you want to add your download link.
    Then, add a Download block to your page, or click the Download block on your page to open the block settings.
  • In the left sidebar panel, click the + Add Item.

 

  • Paste your Dropbox file link to the Link field.
Important:
To ensure that the file will download automatically upon click, you simply need to modify the file URL by replacing the number at end of the URL from Zero (0) to One (1).

e.g. https://www.dropbox.com/s/1k772pzg/This%20is%20your%20Cheat%20Sheet.pdf?dl=1

  • Add a label for your download link.
  • Once everything is set, click on SAVE.
