02074 – Enable Members to be Forum Moderators

 

Forum Moderators can do the same things as an admin on the forum but they cannot make someone else a moderator, they can edit or delete someone else’s comment, or pin threads.


 

Full Access Forum Moderator

This will allow your member to become a Forum Moderator on all of your Forum categories. Please ensure that the member has Forum Full Access enabled.

To do this:

  • Go to Members Area, then select Manage Members.
  • In the Manage Member screen, search the member using the name or email.
  • Click the Edit (pencil) button in the rightmost side of the member’s profile.
  • On the Client Profile, scroll down and toggle ON Member is a Forum Moderator to enable.
  • By default, the Member can Moderate ALL Forum Categories is enabled. This means the member can moderate to the forum and ALL categories.
  • Once done, click SAVE CHANGES.

 


 

Partial Access Forum Moderator

This will allow your member to become a Forum Moderator on a particular Forum category or categories.

To do this:
  • Go to Members Area, then select Manage Members.
  • In the Manage Member screen, search the member using the name or email.
  • Click the Edit (pencil) button in the rightmost side of the member’s profile.
  • On the Client Profile, scroll down and toggle ON Member is a Forum Moderator to enable.
  • By default, the Member can Moderate ALL Forum Categories is enabled.
  • Toggle OFF Member can Moderate ALL Forum Categories to select a particular Forum Category for the member to moderate. Please note that only Forum Categories that the member has access to will be shown on the list unless the member has Forum Full Access, then all Forum Categories will be shown on the list. 
  • Toggle ON a specific Forum category that you want the member to moderate.
  • Once done, click on the SAVE CHANGES.
