This feature will allow members to see events for courses that they have access to. The events can be displayed to all members or just members of a specified course(s).
To Get Started:
Admin
Go to Members Area, then select the Calendar.
On the Calendar page, you’ll see an option in the far right corner titled Show Calendar To Members. As an administrator, you can enable or disable this option according to your preferences.
Add Calendar Event
To add an event, simply click the addition (+) sign in the upper right corner.
Once clicked, the Add New Event modal will pop-up.
Fill out the information as follows: + Event Date And Time – Once clicked, the calendar will pop-up. Simply select the date, time & minute. + Timezone – Select the timezone from the drop-down list. + Event Duration in Seconds – Enter the event duration in seconds. + Repeat – Simply enable the option to repeat the event and select the day(s). This will add the event to the calendar multiple times, depending on the day(s) chosen. + Accessible to – Click the drop-down arrow and choose either All Members or If member has access to any of these courses.
All Members – All members will be able to see the event that you have added.
If member has access to any of these courses – Choose the name of the course(s) from the drop-down arrow. Members with access to the selected course(s) will be able to see the event you’ve added.
Important: Please be sure to click the +ADD button after selecting the name of the course before clicking SAVE.
Once saved, it will automatically be displayed in the Calendar page.
To view Event Details, click on the event on the calendar.
Edit or Delete the Event Without Repeat
To edit or Delete an event, click the three vertical dots on the right side.
When you click the Edit button, the Edit Event modal will pop-up. Once done editing, click on the SAVE CHANGES button.
When you click the Delete button, you will receive a warning notice that reads, – Are you sure you want to delete this calendar event? This action is irreversible and cannot be restored.
Edit or Delete the Event With Repeat
To Edit an event, click the three vertical dots on the right side and select Edit.
If the event is a repeating event, as an admin, you must select if you want to edit:
+ This event – It will only edit the selected event.
+ This and following events – It will edit the selected event and the following events.
+ All events – It will edit all events.
Click CONTINUE once done.
To Delete an event, click the three vertical dots on the right side and select Delete.
If the event is a repeating event, as an admin, you must select if you want to delete:
+ This event – It will only delete the selected event.
+ This and following events – It will delete the selected event and the following events.
+ All events – It will delete all events.
If you click the CONTINUE button, you will receive a warning notice that reads, – Are you sure you want to delete this calendar event? This action is irreversible and cannot be restored.
Click on Cancel or Delete.
Members Portal
In the members portal, the Calendar icon will be displayed next to the notification icon.
Once clicked, the member will be directed to the Calendar page. The member will see events for the course(s) to which he has access.
Add to Calendar
The member can save the event to his calendar by clicking on the event itself in the Event Details modal and clicking on the Add to Calendar button. He just need to select his preferred option.
